In this brief video I compare my old keyboard, my temporary keyboard, and my Das Keyboard Ultimate in terms of typing volume.

The music in the background is King Tut's song "Here It Is & There It Goes". I found it on the Creative Commons section of thesixtyone.com so I believe it's OK to share. Here's a link if you'd like to hear it: http://www.thesixtyone.com/kingtutband/song/Here+It+Is+%26+There+It+Goes/18740/

  • is your old keyboard an ibm model m?

  • @MacTechTutorials15 Nah it's just some random piece of garbage

  • I can't wait to get one. I type for many hours a day and it would be great to have one.

  • @whONeEDZNaDeZ It's great but if you type around other people you might want to check out the quieter model. It can be a little loud.

  • Music and click sound tests don't mix

  • @likefishinthewater Yeah. Sorry about that.

  • @boneheadorwhat Haha, one-finger typist speaks :)

  • @yatpaysarchives Sorry....It's dumb and quirky and would appeal to geeks only. :-)

  • @yatpaysarchives I already have purchased it and I'm using it ATM it's amazing!!!

  • @boneheadorwhat I don't understand why it's so crazy. Obviously if a monitor were blank, it would be unusable. Its purpose is to display things. A keyboard's purpose is to input letters. If you know where the letters are, there's no need to have them printed on the keys. In fact, when the keys aren't there, you learn how to type better and faster since you HAVE to learn them all.

It's not a security thing. It looks nice and makes you a better typer.

  • It never fails to amaze me when some quirky designer hops on the scene with yet another dumb brainwave that can only appeal to a minority of equally dumb users.

Here we have a keyboard without letters and numbers. Why not go the whole hog I wonder and have a monitor with a blank screen so others are not able to see what is being typed.
