Amtrak Rail Crossing

Cherry St grade crossing of the Amtrak passenger train at 12:30pm.

This is a highly-traversed corridor, with 10 inbound and 10 outbound MBTA commuter trains making stops at the nearby Ashland Station (visible at the end of the video) every day, in addition to several Amtrak passenger and CSX freight trains passing through. The track closest to where I was standing is the inbound (Eastbound) track heading into Boston, and the further track (the one the train was riding on) is Westbound/outbound heading toward Worcester.

I love working at the nearby Papa Gino's, because I often get to hear the trains blasting their horns as they pass through the Cherry St and Main St crossings.

Correct, the Acela Express between Boston, MA and Washington, DC is the fastest train in the USA.

Our horns are definitely better. Same with American car horns versus foreign ones, lol

LOL! Actually our trains can go very fast =P There's a high-speed train called the Acela Express that goes directly from Boston to New York City at speeds of up to 150mph (241km/h)!
