In this video Vincent Platenkamp explains the study of the hidden information in cross-cultural contexts. His lecture on this topic is also part of the Creativity block of the Master in Imagineering course. In this video he explains in detail about how information about the world that we often take for granted is derived from our unique cultural background. In situations of dealing with other cultures, this information about values and perspectives is usually not discussed due to the fact that it is considered self-evident. This type of situation may lead to cultural misunderstandings on a very deep level, and it is thus very relevant for international professionals to be able to pursue the hidden aspects of cultural encounters.
