texture painting tutorial Blender 2.50

This is a tutorial with the main goal to show the texture painting potentiality in Blender 2.55, last release. This tool allows to paint different textures and create a new one that encompasses all the previous ones. When used, it's handy to split the screen in uvmap editor and 3D texture paint in order to see how the texture changes.

Could you do one with a terrain? Like with sand and texture painting grass texture onto it .

Thanks for your effort - it was a big help to me! (Although I agree a little with some of the criticisms that it seems more like you're just talking to yourself than speaking like you're trying to teach and explain things to others. So you might want to speak louder, more clearly, and plan out what you want to show ahead of time.)

you don't have to paint directly on the UV. it is just a 2D representation of the image data. You can still paint 3D without worrying about the 2d uv's. It's just that the unwrapping e.t.c is part of the process.
