U.S. Combat Injuries Rise Sharply

More than 1,000 US troops have been wounded in battle over the past three months in Afghanistan, accounting for one-fourth of those injured in combat since the U.S.-led invasion in 2001. The dramatic increase in amputees and other seriously injured service members comes as October marks the deadliest month for U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

@Master11782 its true ,after the Turkish Ottoman Empire was defeated and after the ColdWar US ,Britain and Russia did portion out and divvy up the Middle East.Britain got Iraq and formed the IPC(IraqiPetroleumCompany) ironic title considering it was a British owned company,but that didnt last long,the royal puppet family of Iraq was summarily executed in July 1958,Nuri Said was caught trying to flee Iraq dressed as a woman and shot.The MiddleEast Mandates ran out but now we should renew them

Yeah it is completely true, they criticize the U.S. because they think we are the ones doing all the harm. Even though the extremists are doing the same thing we are doing. Also, they burn bibles and American flags all the time, but when we threaten to burn the Koran they have a heart attack about it. They really need to check themselves out before they criticize anyone else.

@Master11782 the same way the Muslims used Islam to galvanize their warriors to conquer the Christian lands was the same way the NorthernEuropeans used Christianity to galvanize their warriors to take the land back. Religion is used to galvanize,unite and bring orthodoxy to people,but it also poisons evrything.

@Master11782 actually the Crusades were fought to reclaim the land colonized by Muslim armies during the time of Islamic Imperialism in 8th,9th and 10th centuries .It wasnt until the 11th century when the Crusades were started to take back the land from Muslim colonizers and imperialists.

I agree with you, most wars and conflicts happen over a contradiction of beliefs. And people just can't seem to get over it, I mean look at the Crusades an all religious war over a land to be thought as holy. It is just ridiculous.

too bad,somebody needs to kick these Muslims `ass into the 21st century.Thats the problem with religion,unfortunately the world is populated by people of average or below average intelligence.They lack empirical faculties and its impossible to explain that the Bible (or Koran,a redaction of the Bible) is just Hebrew folk stories ,and there is no supernatural god-king.Their chimerical attributes take over their common sense.
