@EJinthe70s You're right. Any true fan know hows important EJ's rhythm section (Dee and Nigel) was to him. The sound was never the same after they left the first time. Dee was amazing.

Phenomenal. Amazing. When the hell is this (and the other unreleased tracks) finally seeing the light of day on CD?

UNI (Original label for this, at least in the US...I have the album) should've released a double album. Not because Elton needed anymore push, but because this material is spot on awesome!

Never heard this version before. This is fantastic for a 3 piece. Elton had to work overtime on the piano. Raw power!

It's amazing to hear these songs that were not included on the original LP. They probably had to be picky as to what they would cut on vinyl in those days because the process was very expensive at the time. Now in the age of digital recordings and the internet, we're able to hear these great songs (outtakes), which probably takes a great deal of power away from the artist from what they can release.

Great stuff.

I SO agree that this is an amazing song from an amazing under-rated album: "Tumbleweed Connection." That record is so much a part of the tapestry of sound that makes up the soundtrack to my youth... LOVE it...
thanks for sharing...
What the...I thought there was only 8 tracks performed at that concert.

well only 8 released on the record but more were performed during that evening. I've read that album sales here in the States were actually hurt badly by the bootleg version of this show that already contained all the tracks from the concert that came from the U.K. to U.S. fans. Anyway Its still a fine show and there's great energy in all the 1970 shows that i've listened to.
