Thames Festival -River Tango Prelude.mov

Tango dancing at the Scoop, More London as part of the Mayor's Thames Festival. This event was a prelude to the River Tango Festival - a series of Milongas, workshops, demonstrations and events around the Bishopsgate Institute, Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane which ran a week later. Londoners here are participating in the global, cosmopolitan aesthetic of social ballroom dance, but Tango, Milonga and Vals have super-ceded Quickstep, Foxtrot and Waltz as the preferred vehicle of expression.
