  • Great clip,Funky, but I am fairly sure it's Bill Evans and not Red Garland playing piano, unless my old ears are playing tricks on me. BTW your channel is just what the doctor ordered-perfect!!!

  • @vova47

Well, It's titled " The Miles Davis Prestige Quintet " in which Red Garland was on piano, but I can not speak for this concert, you may be right.

  • @GLeone221 ahh he starts on the #11 thats such a strange notes to start on... it erkked me at first but i see how he resolves it now... not sure id EVER do that on a gig tho LOL

  • miles starts in the wrong key.....???

  • This is actually BE on piano and JCobb on drums

  • This was recorded May 17, 1958 , Bandstand USA radio broadcast from Cafe Bohemia. Miles, Coltrane, Evans, Chambers, Jones. Philly Joe's last gig with Miles.

  • definitely Bill Evans

  • @FunkySkunk90 Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am pretty sure it's Bill, it definitely does not sound like Red. Some of the tunes you've posted as "Live in Tonight Show"-55 were previously released as " Miles 58" Live from Cafe Bohemia.

Since Bill wasn't with Miles at 1955 I am assuming it's more accurate info. But whatever the year and the place may be the music is great and so is your channel.
