This RDI activity uses a very large play area. We started out, months before, with sitting face to face, inside, with feet touching, and passing the ball back and forth. We have worked our way up to back yard play. Notice how Daddy is waiting for eye contact each time before he kicks the ball. Alex follows Daddy's lead, staying with him throughout the many variations. This back and forth game is a great building block for conversation in the future. Alex is strengthening his ability to cue off of another person during the back and forth. A wonderful, natural game that Dads have been playing with their kids throughout the ages.
Very cool. Starting RDI with my son soon. Great job working with your boy!!
