A second cow, located 2 miles from where the first infected cow was located, has tested positive for the virus. A British authority revealed that up to 50 cows on the second farm appear to be showing signs of the highly contagious disease.

From France - More good news for coffee drinkers. Women over 65 who drink 3 or more drinks of caffeinated coffee or tea are 33% less likely to have a decline in cognitive function, as measured by memory and thinking tests. Sorry guys, but no beneficial affect was noted on men.

Back to London - Alzheimer's drugs may eventually help those with glaucoma. Research in mice show that death of cells in the back of the eye that is seen in glaucoma may be related to the accumulation of beta-amyloid- the protein that causes the plaques seen in Alzheimer's disease. And drugs that are used to treat Alzheimer's may be "neuro-protective" in those with glaucoma.

Two new studies suggest that attention deficit disorder may be linked to problems with the neurotransmitter dopamine. One study showed that children with ADHD who had a mutation in a dopamine receptor gene has favorable brain MRI changes over time- suggesting a favorable prognosis. The other showed disruption of the dopamine system in adults with the condition.
