New Legend of Madame White Snake [新白娘子传奇] is a 1993 TV series starring Angie Chiu (趙雅芝; Pinyin: Zhào Yǎzhī) as Bai Su Zhen 白素貞 and Cecilia Yip (葉童(叶童) / Yip Tung (Ye Tong)) as Xu Xian 許仙.

Thanks to Hardi for requesting this song, I can journey to the nostalgic past when I was active singing this song and performed operetta based on this version of Madam White Snake tale. Mr. Hardi requested another latest mainland version of Madam White Snake drama songs, however instrumental musics aren't available yet. Thus, as part of his fondness to this 1993 version which was a very popular and hot in our country's Television drama, he requested and agreed I will cover this for him at the meantime.

Finally, I am with much humbleness to present such a beautiful song which is originally sung by Sammy Gāo Shèng Měi 高胜美 . I am still far reach to present this song at it's most glorious original state. I hope I won't be a disappointment. Especially for Hardi, and also to all viewers/listeners may 1000 years of happiness begin....

@Aditthya I know Gong Li - she's beauty, elegant and such but compare to Angie, she's lacking that pure kindness aura around her. Gong Li and Brigitte Lin are in the same group. Angie is first then both of them and the rest are just lame - I don't want to watch...

@Aditthya Yep! Fann's too skinny. Even Bridgitte Lin's Bai shu zhen is too celebrity: beautiful but lack charisma, benevolence, down to earth, motherly, surreal image. Just beauty. I bet noone will able to beat Angie even in million years to be madam white snake

@Aditthya That's why i keep wondering how can a female demon could possess such a strong selfless love to Hsi Shien, which that overlaps her dutiful purpose to repay Hsi Shien act of kindness. But a demoness like her can be so true to focus on her duty.. While human seldom repay kindness same fold or forget it- double /triple fold. Bai Shu Zhen is truly beyond human

@MadamWhiteSnake yeah, if i was her, i will somehow repay his kindness in other way... no way i'm going to stay at earth and bearing a baby that really2 waste may 1800 demoness power, i choose to become a goddess more than a wife. Qing cheng shan, er mei shan, pioneer wood of quan yin, anywehere! just no earth... but madame white, no wonder she can throw it, bai su zhen is a type of demoness that control every earth element so pure fire is highly possible..^^
