at the end he should have said, "end of story.....now I gotta go and take a good double tapered shit"

I love a guy who tells like it is, does not put up with any shit from the low life media, hits .373 career World Series, .340 ALCS career with 9 hr, 3,154 hits, most intentional walks in AL history, hits .390 in a season, wins batting titles in 3 different decades, and busted his ass and gave 110% on the playing field. He also got 98% of the writers vote and was a first ballot Hall of Famer. They don't make many like the great George Brett.

George Brett should be calling out the cheap motherfucking bastard David Glass. David Glass is the real piece of shit reason the Royals suck. And that is the TRUTH!
-
@simplygu Then why doesn't he give David Glass shit for being a cheap motherfuckering owner?
-
@ 0:51 AHHHH he's a demon!!!!! lol

Brett's right---he has the credentials to talk down to the media wanna-be's. Broadcasters are 'actors'.... they get paid to be 'experts' for a short period of time. Living the life of a baseball player for years is quite different than anything a broadcaster can experience. Brett paid his dues----I'm gonna listen to GB.

pretty much telling it like it is, sports writers today pretty much suck, not all of them but too many of them really have no idea what they are talking about. kansas city is a small market and in baseball that means you have a huge deficit in revenue, other sports even the chances with salary caps.
the only way sports fans can get the games they love back is to stop coddling the owners. stop giving private owners tax dollars. it's the only way to "occupy" pro sports again.

George Brett is expressing the frustration felt by any Kansas City Royals fan who has endured 20 plus years of losing baseball. He has tremendous credibility, having walked the walk and having given his heart and soul to the club in an outstanding hall of fame career. When you think of the Royals, you think of George Brett- and that's twenty years AFTER he retired. Having met him several times, i can tell you he is a real good guy- not like some of these "stars" who can't be bothered.

If your a sports fan and if you have listened to media interviews, questions, criticisms and what they write in the papers as long as I have, then you will agree with me when I say George Brett was way too lenient in telling them to fuck off. Media people are so fuckin stupid it seems like you can give a 5 year old the job and they would do much better at it. Literally

My baseball idol growing up! Respect Brett!
He's standing up for the team he played for 21 years with. Nothing wrong with that folks!!

@armeny925 You're right. There is nothing wrong with it, BUT, at the time, when the team was playing that bad, it makes him look bad. Just look what eventually happened to Trey Hillman. He got fired. Everything Brett said in this video turned against him.

@Busbrain1 I think he was just trying to give a little hope and encouragement by being fired up. I think it hurts him to see how the Royals have been for the last number of years. How could it not when he's been the face of the team since the 70s? You think of the Royals you think of George Brett. I'm sure it's hard for him not to take it personal with all the consecutive bad seasons that's been going on for so long.

@armeny925 I see where you're coming from. However, if a former key player, like Brett, stands up and tries his best to defend a really bad team, it seriously makes him look bad.
I can't believe how many former Chiefs players defended the heck out of Herm and Carl. Obviously, those two are no longer with the team because of how bad they were.
I'm a realist and the alumnis are always biased, and as a fan, it does irritate me.
