ASL....Deaf Question that i find stupid...

I can't believe people are so ignorant. I knew all the answers to those questions before I learned ASL and met a deaf person. Common sense- not everyone's got it.

Growing up with Deaf parents, I have been asked a lot of stupid questions. I was never asked about popcorn, but if my parents could write, drive, etc. Pretty crazy.

I have never had a microwave that that button works in lol. I have found out though that my microwave if I set it to exactly 3 minutes it wont burn. Depends on the microwave though. When I worked at COSI I had to put that thing on 5 minutes! One day though my friend put popcorn in and the microwave had no popcorn button so he hit the potato button and the whole building had to evacuate because it burnt so bad then after that we couldn't make popcorn anymore. He still hasn't lived that one down.

Haha! My friend answered that question for me. She said that its true you cant always see it pop.... I'm so lame I tried making popcorn by just watching the bag lol... but she said it pops enough that you can estimate when it's done. I guess that would suck if there were no lights. Thanks for answering my stupid question!

Hey Tim, gotta say good job on answering the questions even though I find question #2 hilarious. That's the first I've heard of it.

As for the popcorn question, I just look at the bag in the microwave and can see when the "pops" have settled down. If there are no lights in the microwave....I guess I'm screwed.

Are you sure you can drive? Remember when you were driving my car you almost ran over the woman in the Meijer parking lot? I'm completely kidding. That was WAYYYYY her fault. I thought it was funny though but I have a question of mine that you can add to the stupid question section I asked a few people "Okay so the popcorn bag says listen for 3 seconds in between pops. Can you see the bag pop or what. I can't. How in the world do you make microwave popcorn?"
