It's a couple of weeks now that I try to play the bodhran. The drum has been hanging on my wall for far too long lol! As you can see I put a towel in the back of the drum because I don't like the sound without. I have to tune it down but I don't seem to get it right.
I also have been busy with olive oil (they say it is good for the skin?) but I still stick to the towel for now. Maybe I am gonna buy a cheaper one that is not tunable so there is no problem :^)
But I am just trying for now. There is a lot of noise outside and it makes the cat very nervous so I decided to make some noise of my own.
Lovely traditional Chinese music; a song called "XI YANG YANG" (no joke) :^)

Better next time. Thanks for watching!

  • Thanks Derrick! I want to be able to play along with myself when I start recording for the one-woman band lol. I tried to play along with my accordion/tin whistle on tambourine but although it sounds nice enough I think the bodhran will sound better!

    Love, Cobi
