  • Is that object on the hose that came down from the other aircraft a refueler?

  • Yes, that is a Super Hornet acting as an airborne tanker. The centerline pod is a combination fuel tank and fuel transfer pod. Tanking is performed on almost every single mission launched from the carrier.

  • @coolkid1446 The reason for applying the burners is so if the cable snaps or if he misses it he will still have enough speed and power to get airborn. If he misses the cables the term is a "Bolter". but there ya go :o)

  • Anyone else notice The F-15 @ 2:40

  • What DVD is this? I would like to look it up.

    Thanks.

  • @coolkid1446 every pilot turns on the AB befor landing. In case he misses a wire he wanna go full throttle so he doest need to use his parachute if you know what i mean

  • @chickenruler

They are currently having laser eye serguries to allow people to become pilots.

But note this. It has to be preformed by them. The way they do it corrects your vision without weakening the eye to g forces.

  • does anyone know y he put on the afterburners after landing

    on the carrier at 4:00

  • Oh, and you're not allowed to wear glasses

  • @blakeblake321

I'm afraid that, from what I've been told after much research, you do need 6/6(almost 20/20) vision. But that is only to be a pilot in the RAF. There are a lot of other roles as well.
