MSNBC just wanted a person who looked as much like -Jon Stewart- as possible. It is just a coincidence that the face (and haircut apparently) belonged to a dyke.

Lets see, is Miz Madcow really "an excellent journalist"?
The byline splashed accross the screen says "Breaking NEWS", but are we getting 'NEWS' or are we getting a big, fat dose of OPINION in such phrases as -
1.) "the Bush admin has long been FIXATED"
2.) "for purposes of suppressing the vote - which would be REEEEALY handy for beating democrats"
3.) And calls it a "gin up the fake voter fraud scandal"
That was the 1st min! Couldn't the byline have said "opinion" or even "kool-aid"?
