  • I think as black people we should be able to rock whatever hairstyle we want. However, we need to check ourselves an our motivations? I am going natural because I am tired of apologizing to whites and blacks for my kinky hair...I should not, in 2009 have to apologize for one iota of what that being black entails... including my hair. For me perming my hair as a black woman is like a brunette white woman dying her hair blond. We both are believing a beauty myth..I am tired of the lye!

  • i dont care what somebody tells you, NO STRAIGHTENER is healthy for your hair. Was you there when they made it? No. You dont know what they put in that shit. Just because it says its natural dont mean it is. Like people who eat rice dont even know that it has a bleaching agent in it, WHICH IS BAD FOR U BODY. Rice is originally Brown ... but you wouldnt know and it doesnt say that on the back of rice bag does it?

  • Hair is hair..there are deeper issues

  • 2:27 I experience that as well.

  • 3:41 preach girl i feel the same way

  • @Aeropostale087

The problem is that it damages your hair and kills the hair slowly.

The product they put in it can actually destroy a can of coke.

It also can lead to baldness and cancer.

Not worth it if you ask me.

If you want straight, have a weave or something...

  • we can do wat ever we want 2 our hair i dont got mine relaxed cuz i want it 2 look like white ppl hair

  • @SkyyeEyes Huh! What are you talkn about. I don't remember condemning you. You must be responding to an old old comment.

  • @chocara1 Um that is true but why are you condemning me because I CHOOSE, no one can force me to do anything trust me (except my mother lol). I LOVE the way my hair acts after getting a relazer, how easy it is to coomb and style. If you want to wear it natural go ahead. Me I won't be caught dead in dreadlocks, so help me God, even if I did go natural because my sis saw a demon with them in its head. Oh and dreadlocks is trying to be white by your standards, how else will those napps swing?

  • @MUN7001 There was no need to cuss, I agree people shouldn't be condemning me and others like me for wanting to wear my hair straight. Seems like to me they want everyone to be the same and not have their own ideas of what they like and what they don't. Oh and as for dreadlocks my sister saw a demon with them in his head so I will NEVER wear them, ever.

  • @Amarra2012 That is because white folk love to cut it off, most are lazy about their hair and cut it off so they can just brush it down, many have told me this.
