Title track and first video clip from Atomic Sunset debut album "Hot Rods & Pin-Ups"!!!

Djordje Stijepovic, Drazen Skaric and Alek Petrovic rock on the hot roof on 113F! The video features cool Cadillacs, Fords, Chevrolets and pinup model/bourlesque dancer Lola Bel Aire!

Atomic Sunset is a rock'n'roll trio formed in 2003 in Belgrade, Serbia. Music roots vary from rawness of 50's Sun stuff to modern day rockers. The band combines rockabilly, surf, punk, swing and everything that takes to create unique and energetic modern rock'n'roll sound. They have been touring few times across Western Balkans.

Atomic Sunset is a brainchild of one of the world's best upright slap bassists Djordje Stijepovic (Deke Dickerson, Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister, Stray Cats' Slim Jim Phantom, Scotty Moore band, Wanda Jackson). Accomplished guitarist Drazen Skaric (who was a co-leader of Havana Whisper with Djordje) is also a founding member of the band. The great recent addition is the drummer Atomic Alek (Soulfly, Bloodbath), well known for his long membership in one of the most famous Serbian rock bands Eyesburn.

If you dig Brian Setzer, Reverend Horton Heat and Living End, there's every chance you'll love this band!

  • I find most comments are once again trying to force the artist's music into a genre'. The music is the movement and reflection of modern culture. Get this, it is the extension of the Artist as that artist encounters enamouring of society and culture to their sense's. To present a music that is new and innovative requires understanding genesis of the form from the begining. Djordje can play Rockabilly from A to Z any form anytime, anywhere.

  • The best slap bassist on the planet with AMAZING band!!!

    Finally something fresh and unique!

This is a pretty brave thing to do musically, and I'm sure it's not gonna be easy listening material for purists. Let's not forget that all great artists have to deal with narrow minded folks. Keep playing guys and please don't ever give up!!!

  • Awsome Short Video

  • go kat go

  • I've heard this band play the purest rockabilly you can imagine. I don't have a problem with them stepping out of that genre for a change of pace. Rock on!

  • @Wulfmenhoff

maybe he is, you just don´t know !?

  • Tell em bout the bumper bolts !!!!!!!

  • @Wulfmenhoff I agree that this song is pretty out there. I see it more as an experiment; like Stray Cats' Elvis on Velvet - rockabilly theme with a modern beat. Djordje has tons of real rockabilly credentials. He played with everyone from Scotty Moore, DJ Fontana, Joe Clay to Deke Dickerson, Slim Jim Phantom etc. Drazen also has a side project with Lucky Marcell that is 100% 1950's rockabilly. I have this Atomic Sunset album. It's mostly neo rockabilly stuff and I LOVE it!

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THIS -if Iron maiden ever wearing cowboy hats are they an hillbilly band.-- my god theire just copy an style but are close to rockabilly sound like george Bush beeing a moslem .

  • pinche mugrero

  • isso ai ta mais pro metal

  • Great job!
