Molly is running!!!! Molly suffered an FCE (Embalism in her spine) about 4 weeks ago. She was completely paralyzed from her mid section down to her back legs. She couldn't walk, go to the bathroom or do anything on her own. I spent weeks carrying her around with a harness and confining her so she wouldn't do damage to herself. Once she got her catheder out, we started physical therapy in the pool every day. She can now walk on her own and occasionally jumps like this. This was a good day... she has a long way to go, but she's come so far!
This is very encouraging! Our Henry just had an FCE 2 days ago. We have been carrying him around and trying to get him to walk on the carpet a bit. He is unable to potty on his own and appears scared and depressed. I'm trying to get him to eat, but he is reluctant. I'm afraid of what his life will be like from here on out and unsure of what to do next. Hopefully soon, he will begin physical therapy. Please tell me more about your experience.

Loved seeing this video... It gives me hope as my 4 year old Golden Doodle suffered an FCE 3/12/10. She is recovering, but as you said it's a long road. She is in a great hopsital in Rhode Island and receiving physical therapy 4 x/day. We're hoping that she will be able to walk and run like Molly sometime soon.
Good luck Molly.... keep up the good work!

So encouraging to see Molly running! Our dog Maggie just had an FCE 2 days ago and we are still trying to figure out how life is going to be for her. Thank you for this!
