National seminar by Bulgarian stuttering association

Bulgarian Stuttering Association SIZ (until March 2004 NASIZ) is a non-profit organization of people who stutter, whose number in Bulgaria is over 70,000. NASIZ was founded in 1992.

Our mission is to provide information about stuttering, its therapy and everything, related to the problem, to people, who stutter, parents of children, who stutter, as well as to the whole society. To inspire with more self-confidence people, who stutter, to show, that stuttering is not a defect but a peculiarity of the way of speaking, to promote the problem and to educate tolerance towards it.Our vision is a society, in which people who stutter do not feel ashamed and guilty, because of their stuttering. A society which accepts people who stutter the way they are people like all the others, deserving respect like anyone else.
