think they would fair better on the PS3 since their audience seems a bit more mature and probably has more classic game players than that demographic.. No offense to 360 owners. I own one of those too. :)
As of right now I think there are less than 10 classic arcade games on the PS3 which is rather sad. I'm happy to see SNK releasing their Neo-Geo games via the Neo-Geo Station, but they are a bit pricey at $9+ ea. At least they add online co-op with voice chat and some other upgrades for the $.

Great game. It's a bit harder on the PSP than with the arcade spinner controller. Same with Ikari (and many others). It's really too bad these companies aren't releasing them for themselves. Make them $1 - $2 each and give us a nice frontend to launch them from and they would sell a ton.
MS had the idea with MS Live Arcade, but they screwed it up with terrible emulation and overpriced unpopular games. I personally... cont.

I was able to finish the game with one quarter, best bang for the money arcade game.

It looks like it is hard to point the gun in different directions? That was the best part of the arcade game, the rotating joystick!
Okay, I have to get a PSP now. A few questions though: what is a mame? When I buy a PSP how do I hook up this mame thing? Has Data East released a compilation game with all of these fantastic games on it, like Robocop and Bad Dudes and of course, Heavy Barrel?

MAME= Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, basically an emulator that can run lots of the arcade coin-op systems.
To run an emulator like this one on a PSP, you will need to hack the PSP's firmware and install a custom firmware, look for 5.50 Gen-c or Dark alex's 5.00 m33-6.

How do the controls for this game work on a PSP? The arcade version had an 8 way controller that could also rotate 360 degrees.

you can hold down the L+R psp shoulder buttons to rotate your fella, left or right 360 degrees :)
