  • Hi Kassy, T-Model did have a stroke about 15 months ago, but came and played in Sweden and since in the US. he is doing well. his right hand was hampered but he sings just like he always did. Search on ÅMAL BLUES to see other clips take from the audience last summer.

  • Played with T-Model and Bill Abel in June and Mississippi and in July he came to Sweden and played too with Bill and Cadillac John. Not totally recovered then but his voice is still as great and his finger was having a bit of trouble doing upstrokes on chords. He IS a great storyteller!

  • are you related to Austin or Greg Deivert from PA?

  • Austin is my nephew and Greg my brother. Was just there visiting.

T-Model Ford in American Legends -interview (on Youtube)

  • Hi Bert, thank you for sharing this wonderful jam ! I am trying to find out how T-Model is doing. I have watched the documentary- You (can) see me laughin' (on Youtube) and fallen in Love with this beautiful man : ) I also watched the interview -American legends-where he looked so well. I thought it was recorded recently but then discovered it's over a year old. I see from comments that he has had a stroke since then.

    Kassy : )

  • I was in Greenville for Thanksgiving . T-Model is a long-time family friend and I sat around listening to the old folks telling stories about him . Don't know if they're any more true than the stories he tells about himself.

He has rcovered from the stroke and is currently on tour. Looking forward to seeing him next week in N.O. 12/03/10.

  • Scary sound...too much...that's all time.

  • .. I just heard the news that T-Model Ford had a mild stroke on Sunday. i wish him a speedy recovery. God bless him.
