  • Thank you. My 93 year old friend has finally seen the film she missed when it first came out in 1927. She wanted to see it before she died and ....loved it.

  • I think I might be madly in love with Janet Gaynor. Saw her a while ago in Sunrise where she broke my heart, and then this one, where she did it again. These two films were quite a discovery. Just screw today's glamour girls and those love stories made of plastic.

  • I cried as he climbed the stairs, calling her name... That a film from 1927 could do that to a man in 2011! Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • Been wanting to see this forever...now it's on YOUTUBE. Loved it! Even the song during & at the end was appropriate. Great chemistry between Farrel & Gaynor;glad they teamed them again in later films. Very rare film. Hard to hold back tears even as I was security guard graveyard shift!!

Keep up the wonderful service hwbanger.....

  • Thank you very much for this movie! I've been watching a lot of silent movies lately and this was the sweetest.

  • almost made me cry

  • What a wonderful film! Im in my 40's, a huge film buff, and I've always wanted to see every film nominated for the acadamy award for best picture. Thank you for posting.

  • That was soo beautiful. The first silent film i've ever watched begining to end and i really enjoyed it! The sweetness and innocence of the lead characters also made the film extremely touching. It was quite fun reading the Italian subtitles and trying to figure them out from my knowledge of Latin.

    Amazing film!

  • thanks hwbanger for sharing this amazing film and for the awesome subs.
