@brutallic100 . The difference is this. Your state remains secular as far as I understand. Thus Islam is limited in it's influence. Iran is a purely Islamic state. It is not Arab but Persian. They used to be Zoroastrian by religion until they were conqured and forced to Islam. Sharia law gets it's guidance from the Quran. The Quran is Islam. Look at the history of Muhammed's life.
