She sounds like most good singers doing the anthem. Only one or two singers actual recreated and blasted the song into orbit. Whitney is the first. When elphie is played by others women of color...even that role will evolve and grow!

Idina is one of a kind. I love this lady! I agree that it is annoying when people scream and cheer DURING the song (sepecially the National Anthem). It is so rude! Let the woman sing, ya know? She sings her heart out right through it though! Too bad we can't hear her...:(
