"The Force of Peace"
Gandhi told me to be the change
I wanted to see in the world.
So I joined activist groups,
changed my diet,
watched movies about society's ills,
tried to be a better person.
But day to day, I could not be the change
I wanted to see in the world.
I was still angry at the driver in front of me,
judgmental of people on the street,
unforgiving of those who hurt me.
What happened in my head and heart
were as important as what I did with my
money and time,
but I felt helpless to change
my own thoughts and feelings.
When I reached out and found
meditation and a transformative spiritual life,
everything changed.
First: Peace with myself.
Second: Sharing peace with others.
Now when I stand and take action,
I bring the force of peace,
do more good, feel better doing it.
Day in, day out,
I am the change I want to see in the world.
At the inner peace festival,
I see others bring this force of peace,
to be the peace, to be the force,
and together we are the change
we want to see in the world.
Awesome, Milwaukee! Very nicely done. I loved the part at 3:18 dudes, very cool!
