Digital Scalextric Mini Cooper Race in London May 2010

Quick little video of our last race at the Fulham Digital Scalextric Club.

The positions, laptimes, fuel levels and time differences are all displayed in real time as the racing progresses

With digital, you can have fuel strategy racing, with the amount of fuel in the car having an effect on the speed and acceleration of the car. When you enter the pits, you decide how much fuel you take onboard.
Also with digital slot car racing, the environment of a real race is more accurately reflected. Lane length is immaterial, you can be on any lane at any time, the power and lanes being shared by all cars. You can use the lanechangers and have the choice of lane for a particular corner. No lane to yourself. Work your way through the traffic with patience and skill. Use the pitstops wisely, try to finish the race with an almost empty tank to save time and win the race
