Solar powered shed setup UK - 80w Upgrade

This is a follow up to my original solar shed video.

We have now fitted an 80w panel facing 51degrees and towards south, this should give us optimal power from it. It's joined in parallel with the original 20w panel.

We should now have 60-80w / Hour worth of power generation on good days. There is about a 20%/20w loss due to the charge controller we are using, but in future will be upgrading to a MPPT controller with a 2,000w inverter.

Hello there

Very good video, I am thinking about using a solar system to bring at least light to my garage, the garage is on block, and my girlfriend uses it to park her car in, but it is pitch black round there, I was wondering how I would go about a system like that and what sort of power panels I would need so it is a bit safer when she parks in the dark on her own.

I would be extremely grateful if you could give me some guidance.

Though as of now it is one 70Ah deep cycle battery in parallel with a 190Ah Deep cycle battery. At least I think those are the values, the exact capacity is talked about in my later video.

Hi where did you get the items from as im thinking of getting a small system set up for my chicken coup but im finding it abit of a mine field and very expensive in the UK, if you could give me some advice i would be grateful

great setup.. I have a simular system myself.. You would be much better off taking the solar cell of the shed roof and fastening it to the 80w panel.. It would be more efficient as the smaller panel would be properly aligned and it would look a lot neater too. Keep the videos coming and good luck.
