@cartzar I've done some mods like installing LED tail lights, etc. but why anyone would want to black out their tail lights is beyond rational reason. IMO they don't look good anymore and more seriously in terms of safety they project light less well. Just whining . . . .

how much do the leds cost. the one the guy put in?

why and the hell did you do that!! you could have used the cigarette lighter in the center console.
instead of you cutting into the main harness now if any moisture gets on to the slice it will cause
a short.

Do you need to tell your insurance company that you are installing these lights?

@JayAOnline no sir. same thing with blacking out the tail lights, installing rims, cold air intake, exhausts, etc.
these things can be done without telling your insurance company...
