A video taken of my spinifex hopping mice to show that they can be hand-tamed... Most say that they are a look-don't-touch pet. I disagree.

  • ah hahaha, I've been tearing my hair out to find someone who had these as pets!!!

Do you mind if I ask you questions about them?

  • Not at all! Ask away! I'm not an expert though, I know mostly what I have learnt myself as there is not a lot of information out there on keeping them as pets.

  • where would you get them? i'm in the states and was wondering where i could get one

  • Not sure. They are native here in Australia and you need a licence to keep them. They are easy to look after and don't smell like pet mice do.

  • Wow. they are really cool. Are they hard to keep?

  • Not at all. They are very easy to keep. In fact, I have found them even easier than normal mice as they barely smell at all and so require less cleaning.
