Today Tonight report on Packer at 2004 leaked video event

The report was that shallow, it sparked Packer to ring the CEO of Seven and have a cry about the footage. The best part of the report was Bryan Seymour reading from Hubbards own HCOB called "The Gambler". TT certainly dont report on the cult ACA style. After all, Packers best mate runs the Nine Network and he still has 25% control in PBL's media interests.
Gone are the days Nine werent inlfuenced to run fluff on the cult.

Hey, I'm not saying it didn't have an impact, I just wish we had something a bit more hard hitting like the old days of 60 minutes. I am just frustrated by the lack of knowledge and interest in the other criminal aspects of this cult. Not dissing the post at all. Thanks.

Hey, I know EXACTLY what you mean, After all, Australia was the first country to fully expose this criminal enterprise. What is needed is a nother full Board of Enquiry into every facet and tentacle of the cult. It should at least have its tax exemption stripped, and at worst should again become outlawed, Too many things demonstrate that scientology is far worse than most can imagine. Sorry for being on my high-horse about TT. Theyve done better than anyone else in recent years with the facts.

While this video doesn't hit out at Scientology through the usual Lisa McPherson, it exposes the hypocrisy of the organisation and the fact that Packer is now probably beholden to a cult. The fact that Tommy was included was a win and rehashing of Morton and Sweeny a plus. This report could lead viewers to make conclusions about Packer's network. This is a healthy thing. Media owners who are Scientoligsts are just as dangerous as Politicians who are Scienos (i.e. Sonny Bono)

ACA promotes CCHR without disclosure these days. Not that TT is much better, but this needs to be seen.
