I'm a Katy fan but seeing her here doing acoustic with her voice its just so awesome I wish she had stayed with this image her raspy high pitched voice suits the jazzy style similar to Norah jones's music.... But of course her will be different as she's playful and has energetic vibe. And her pop is not bad but this one just shows her raw talent and voice.

I don't like her mainstream stuff but as I see, she can sing really nice so I can at least watch/listen to her acoustic stuff. Money kills music and culture in general. Even this performance is really nice, nothing will beat unplugged concerts of Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, etc... (not enough characters to name all those brilliant unplugged performances)

Katy Perry will reach a point in her career where she does what (for lack of more examples) Beyonce has done. She will start to make music that suits her, not the music that she's been releasing lately. It's good and catchy, but in no way shape or form highlights her voice like a song like this, or a song like Black And Gold. I highly anticipate the day when she starts making music that fits her.
