Bill Bailey had done moonwalk years ago, before MJ did (a bit different). Here watch out Bill Bailey's tap dance and his moonwalk.

First of all, everyone is wrong. Jackson got the whole choreography from Bob Fosse's dance routine in the 1974 movie The Little Prince. Fosse has a scene called Snake in the Grass. Its all there, the glitter socks, high black pants, the moowalk...Search You Tube.

before you all get into a fight over this. keep one thing in mind please. Michael got inspired by all kinds of people. From Bo Jangels, James Brown, Break Dancers and Fred Aster. So dont get it twisted ok. Outside of Break Dancers on the East and West coast, no one seen that move before him, and no one never would have if it wasn't for him. Michael, like all masters of their crafts, used the best moves from those before him. Just like Timberlake and Usher do with his moves. GET A LIFE PEOPLE.

i know what ur sayin dude...but tis still debatable.....besides MJ didnt really take it and modify it any ways, i believe it twas Shabbadoo Quinone and Boogaloo Shrimp that coached him on it...but Mj is synonymous with the moon walk not the back slide so could be classed as the inventer of said walk....or maybe not...
