James Brown has a distinctive dance move, his is a feet slide backwards with a distinctive shuffle. This is also a part of the moonwalk origin, as many of the dancers like Bill Bailey did this James Brown move also.

I do agree that Yes, Michael Jackson refined ths dance better than anyone else, into a distinctive move, in which he moonwalks across an entire stage.

I hate when ppl say Michael stole the moonwalk from other people. Of course the moonwalk, glide, whatever you wanna call it has been out for a while. Thats where he got the idea for it because every new invention and dance comes from some past idea. Not saying ppl arent original, but it comes from something. So he saw ppl doing somethin like that and made it his own. He invented the Michael Jackson Moonwalk and made it mainstream.
