Canon T2i (550d) Moon in motion (Canon 55-250mm lens)

The video shows movement of the moon across the frame of the camera (camera is stationary, the moon moves)

This video was taken using a Canon T2i (550D) with a 55-250mm lens - the camera was set in crop mode which effectively multiplies the zoom by 7 times. Given the fact that the camera has a crop sensor with a factor of 1.6, the total effective zoom is: 2800mm.

Very nice, you can see a shadow something like a satellite from 2:18 to 2:20.

amazing and the UFO at 2.33 looks like a satelite but doesn't seem to orbit round the moon? amazing capture and just shows what a 550d can do

Uhm...i did the same test using a 75-300mm lens but i didnt get the same great results like you, I used crop + 300 (and i knew about the crop factor but still)

@blackorwhiite YES, 7D, t2i, 60D all are 1.6 crop factor sensor. 5D is 1.0 full sensor and 1DM4 is 1.3. ...35mm film cameras are 2.0 crop. so it really comes LENS...btw...this vid looks good for a$200 lens.
