The tradition of Kata is not usefull for fighting.. IMHO, I believe that spending time sparing is like training yourself to not actually hit your target, but pull your punches & kicks. In a fight you must rely on your training & you will do what you know...pull punches & kicks! Bruce Lee was teaching this & the integration of MA technics that work. TRAIN IN ALL FORMS of MA, and train to push past the fear of the unknown.

He didn't have the benefit of the internet while trying to look at all forms of fighting, dancing, physical fitness training and nutrition. With that in mind, remember that he spoke to people to learn from them. He is quoited as saying, "If you love life, don't waste time, for time is what life is made up of." He later added that he doesn't like for people to waste his time with conversation that doesn't inform. He was a sponge for knowledge.

Bruce, you are so right in all your ways and beliefs,except one. You are a STAR my friend. Actors are called STARS because of this. WE ARE ALL ENERYGY -everything everyone. Actors,singers, great heros or certain people present more of this ENERGY then others ! Therefore when they "Pass on" there ENERGY that comes from ther body is strong enough to become A STAR in the sky.. or in your case A SUPER STAR.
