Great clip! My late Mother loved this song...she and her 2 sisters (sadly, all have died) were huge Deanna fans, and in fact one sister was briefly the head of a Deanna Durbin club...not sure where though, Oregon or California (they moved to Cali in the mid 40's) even have a photo of her meeting with Deanna on the set of a movie!

Deanna Durbin, like Jane Powell, created a genre all of her own. Such a shame DD retired so young.

Happy Birthday!

This lady was really a great singer !
I didn't really know much about her til last few yrs
before my Dad passed away and he told me that when he was doing his Basic Training in California back in the early 40's that he got to chaueffer her around in his Army Jeep on different occasions while she was making films. I'd sure like to be able to contact her and share this info with her..

If anybody wonders who was better, Durbin or Garland, this clip should remove all doubt. Deanna could sing anything. I doubt Judy could have sang opera like Deanna could though.
Also Deanna Durbin was a complete babe.

I enjoy the Deanna Durbin clips on YouTube, but this is notable for two reasons. She is singing a rather popular vein. She is also a real knockout, as a mature young woman. Showing no more than stockinged legs, she has a lot sex appeal.

anyone have these lyrics?
I really love this clip! Deanna was so talented. This scene feels just like a live clip from a radio show.
