This happened to my one after a descale and back-flush and I thought I'd burnt out the pump. I was getting ready to send it for a service and suddenly it started going strong again! Pretty relieved - hope it lasts...

The newer machines are equied with a weak pump, the older ones are much much better.

This happened on my extra starbux barista machine, keep priming the machine and it should stop after the 9-10th priming

Would you care to comment on my video (user hshortt) as it appears even worse on the newer Gaggia machines Thanks a lot.

hmm in case it's still not working properly, I recently had that problem. I just let the machine run for abt an hour. Obviously I refilled water in between but that seemed to have fixed the problem.

If you read the comments, you can see that the problem is fixed, and how it was made OK again.

Have you descaled it recently?.

The problem started just after a descale. However, after I remade the process a few times it went back to normal.

I have the same machine and I can choke it without the pump giving up or pulsing.
Think you should have the pump checked out.

Thanks for your reply. The stranges thing just happened to me a few days ago. The pump started to sound strong again, even though I choked it with blind-filter.
Hope it continues to live :)
