"Mapeye" or "Seis Mapeye" is a tipical Puerto Rican compas mostly played in the country side of the island on a Cuatro guitar (mandolin like instrument with the shape of a violin). In the island it's refered as "musica jibara" or "musica de campo". Mapeye, more than other seises, has strong roots from Spain using the most common chord progression called "cadencia española".

This interpretation was base on the arrangement by Pedrito Guzman and the group "Jibaro Jazz" named Mapeye Montuno. In my version, I have converted several sections and style from montuno to rumba flamenca style -therefore calling it Mapeye Rumbeao.
