Heres a bass cover of play that funky music , wild cherrys version. i learnt this song by ear and im trying out my codec, so i can connect my bass straight into my Mac and im still figuring it all out! thanks for watching :)

Hey man! I totally agree with Tooltrocity, don't be affraid to make mistakes and stuff, you've got to feel the song and rock out even if you make some out-of scale notes! the important thing is that you get pleasure from playing!
Otherwise I think my cover of that song isn't a good example because I put way too much improvs and licks in there.. still I'm happy with it 'cause I really was into it when I recorded it!! ^^

It's good, but not tight like I know you can play it...you need to relax a bit and play with more attitude. You posted this as a response to DavidSinRocks' video...just watch how he looks when he plays it. He plays it with attitude. You seem like you're afraid to make mistakes...who cares if you do?! It'll sound 10x better if you just relax and feel the funk. Just some constructive criticism from a fellow bass player...Keep playing! =)

thanks very much for your kind advice. ive took it on board and its right what you've said i am scared of messing up only because of the haters you get on youtube! i will definately relax more when playing and let the funk take over :)
