EXACTLY! back then you could spot a skate punk a mile away, nowadays 90% of the skaters look like everybody else or rappers. the skating itself was even more stylish back then. i mean once you've seen one guy go down a handrail, you've seen em all !

i too started skating in the mid 80's, and recently started again, but im havin a hard time with these skinny ass boards of today. think im gonna get myself a re-issue, lol. SKATE AND DESTROY!

product & royfokker are right. some of us grew up watchin these guys and they were our link to the wider skate world. no internet and not that many videos. seems that new school skaters can do some amazing tech tricks but a lot of them look same instyle or lack there of. the 80s and early 90s had real style. had to be there...

I second product on his comment. It gives me hope to see Dressen still skating. I started in 86 and for the past couple years haven't really got on it at all. Went back out today for the first time=)
