i like the very dry review. funny! you still have you're sw22 ? i also live in chicago land and will be buying a gray 91 sw20 soon do you know of any mr2/toyota meet or shows that take place around us? or any chicago based mr2 car clubs

@THEARMEDLIFE , that is not me in the video but I did have two mr2 turbos. You should check out mr2oc.com and mr2.com for local meets. I've been to a few local/regional meets with my mr2 and they are always a blast. We had a big meet in Topeka, KS back in 2005 with mr2s from all across the U.S. That was something else! Have fun with the car, it's like nothing else in the price range. I miss my two mr2s A LOT!!!

I'm on my 3rd MKII now. Started in 98 with a 91 and I am hooked for life. There is no car like it in the world. The design is timeless and the size is just right. Unless you have driven one it is impossible to understand how well it handles.

I am shocked it ever got made and was actually affordable. The next cheapest mid engine car was the Acura NSX at around $90K.

Turbo MKIIs were around $27K while N/A were in the low $20Ks.

Do it again Toyota!

dude... even if you are bad at fixing stuff. I BET you can learn. Get a few books. Buyt a few tools. Buy a cheap fixer upper and start turning wrenches. I believe everyone can learn to work on cars. Just takes effort!

I love this car. But will you please get some clear/white lenses to replace those gaudy orange ones that are on it!!?

I am all for leaving cars as tney came out of the factory but the orange indicator lenses and side repeaters add years to the car!

@krisbike So, someone who enjoys his MR2 enough to make a video (albeit a dorky, boring one) doesn't deserve to own an MR2? That's a bit elitist and douchey, don't you think? Maybe it's you who doesn't deserve it and should get a Honda. That attitude would fit right in.

this was epic. I too feel the constant pain of not owning a single cup holder and cleaning up the inevitable spills of mountain dew. I have to say though, opposite in one regard: my T-tops stay off cause perpetually cause of the discouraging install time (thank goodness for arizona weather)
