This is a further (and tad more technical) look into the cues Hans Zimmer took from the original "musical countdown" song in Inception when writing the soundtrack. The original idea was brought to my attention by another YouTube video, the "Inception Music Comparison" by camiam321, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVkQ0C4qDvM

After watching that video, I saw the movie again looking for the musical cues, and sure enough, just like the movie, there was another level to be had.

From the original,
To the slowed version,
To the super-slowed version.

I'm still in awe of the planning that went into this movie. Simply amazing.

If you want to read my in-depth (5,000 word) analysis of the movie, which covers this musical stuff as well as much, much more, you can read and comment here: http://www.fictionalhead.com/blog/full/inception-analysis-my-case-for-reality

  • @slidemaster2000 Yes. And no.

  • @slidemaster2000 no because these songs were never played in 'real life' if I'm not mistaken. They were only played in the dreams. :)

  • SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING MY MIND BLOW BY INCEPTION

  • Guys I Discovered the secret: Its... wtf is that Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien?

(In Bed With Beyonce) Ye Baby u so... Wtf is that Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien?

(Sitting in school, History Classes) Teacher: Stop sleeping boy and pay attention!

    (FK!!)

  • So this means that what seems to be the reality is already a dream, and his wife was right to kill herself to get back to reality?

And after this she plays the song to tell him he can also come back to reality?

  • God Dang Giggity Damn. This is the weirdest thing ever.

  • Its not a song within a song its just a slower version of the song thats been edited a bit

  • This is pretty interesting, shame inception was a terrible movie.
