i'm pretty tired of hearing teachers whine about their jobs. i'll support more benefits for teachers as soon as i see more public school teachers that actually care about the kids. my private school's teachers are 10x better than any public school teacher and they get paid very little compared to public school. they're not even unionized. why do they teach at our school? because they actually care.

no matter how bad teachers pensions are doing, they hit up the taxpayer for the "shortfall".

The very DAY the Leafs don't sell out every game is the year they will WIN the cup.

Being ANYTHING is hard work! Digging ditches, working in restaurants etc... is hard work. But more than 25% of your property taxes don't go to funding them and their pension plan now is it.

most teachers either have no idea what exactly the OTTP owns, or don't really care. It's essentially a separate business from the mass of teachers who just go in to work every day. It's not like they'd be pushing cigarettes in class to get that extra 2$ a week when they retire because the stock went up a few points...
good satire though definitely laughed. it is ridiculous what the OTTP owns and the fact that most teachers don't put any pressure on it to change its investment policies.
