32 Hours: The Church In Haiti

On Sunday, January 24, I had the great honor of sharing a lot of photos, videos, and stories of the church in Haiti and how the church is responding to suffering. A number of pastors and ministries have asked if they can use that sermon. The answer is yes. The elders at Mars Hill have always been gracious in giving content away for free to serve Jesus, which is a great joy for me personally. So, we have made the entire sermon available for download free of charge, to be used however and wherever Gods people desire.

As a side note, this sermon is a bit different than the one that is posted online on Mars Hills media library and that played at the Mars Hill Campuses on Sunday. The sermon that played at Mars Hill included some issues about our giving and generosity that will not pertain to other churches and ministries. So, we have cut out that content but left everything else. We hope it is helpful to Gods people for Gods glory and you can download it for free here, including an option to burn it onto a DVD, if that is easiest for you.

How much money or aid have you given Haiti? One single church in Scotland raised more money for the quake relief than the entire Richard Dawkins Foundation.

Hate religion all you want, but ignore the empirical evidence of religions and religious people doing far more to help the needy than secularists at your intellectual peril.

Whats wrong with talking about the slavery,the colonial history,the language situation,the sexual slavery,the illiteracy,the unemployment,the dificlt topography,the demonology?Why do you all have to get so practical?Do you know nothing of the kind of world we live in?You only obvioussly do things out of your own selfestheem and shame and motivations.People dont need that.Emotional poverty actualy needs special attention over phisical poverty.Is actually way more important and complex and crutial

@MrShakazoe1 and where did you get those statistics? from the cia factbook? They don't know jack about haiti. You shouldn't believe anything you read on the web about Haiti. I was born in and traveled around the country... and believe me, there are more protestant churches of all denominations in the country than cathedrals... The default religion used to be Catholicism but over the last few decades, their membership has been dwindling down to almost nothing...
