A helicopter takes off from one of the highest airports in the world ~ Syangboche situated in the Solu Khumbu region of Nepal ~. The airport is used for ferrying cargo as well as tourists to and fro from Kathmandu. The Everest View Hotel is a 45 minute uphill trek from the airport and provides excellent views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam.

  • That's not an airport that's a bunch of shitty dirt Plato(very small though).

  • Jeepers!! I believe I flew in the same chopper from that strip in 1994..the pilot was Russian and had flown in Afganistan..he talked about being shot at with US stinger missiles...

  • @grntara78 well, Thank you sir. Pleasure is all mine. was just discussing too. wanted to see how far you can go. FYI my mother was born and raised in salleri. Well, nice talking to you ..

  • @exceptional1414 ok... u want to know the difference between solu and khumbu . Solu is the area which is below Lukla. There for....u can´t say typical Solu weather... coz this scene is in Syangboche. Conclusion.... one can make a mountain out of a molehill..... just like me :-) Hope u enjoyed our discussion... I did.

  • @grntara78 For your peace of mind I checked your holy Wikipedia. 1st article on topic "khumbu" states your point but it is a article without any source and could be posted by anyone and can be refuted so there is no point. And, the article "solukhumbu"; again when you go back to the source page it does not state anything about what you state.. still not point made. Please come up with some reliable source will ya?

  • @exceptional1414 Sorry... not in the mood for enlightenment. But how about the holy Wikipedia...:)

  • @grntara78 please enlighten me.
