Just a little while ago I've been working on the turbochargers of the main engine of Estelle Maersk, that engine is a Doosan Sulzer 14-cylinder, with a bore of 960mm and a stroke of 2500mm!!
Anyway, you gotta love the sound of a ships engine :)

The ships are diesel electric. 5 main diesel engines are available for making electricity to the ships 4 electric thrusters.

:-) the ship has been built in Holland (me too) and I had the pleasure to visit the engineroom of a compairable ferry in Holland.
MAN engines and HOLEC generators / electro engines. I tought and HOPE this ship has the famous Danish B&W diesels. did you see my other movie about Danish dieselferries? Are you in shipbuilding?
