I consider myself a hardcore supporter of western military's, but the Chinese army has something I miss in western powers and that is discipline. They look like a professional modern army with that discipline, much like Wehrmacht during ww2. Not that western military's don't have discipline, but not that epic kind of discipline ;)!

@Conspiraciez For the fact that they are developing they are already a threat to the west. If an empire has a military advantage but it loses it's advantage it cannot be an empire anymore, it's territory will decline. The west is quickly losing it's economical advantage and in the long run that influences military, obviously the west is still more powerful than them but I'd say in a century os so the west will not be the emperor anymore.

It would be better if all the countries got along.

The west and europeans was a threat to today's 3rd world centuries ago, they traded Opium to China - Opium Wars - and made money out of it, they enslaved Africans. Today it is better to forget, today they don't do this anymore and we should be peaceful Earth instead. 3rd world is gaining money because they have real jobs - not haircutting

@tony38727 40 years ago people would have laughed if someone would have said that China would be a threat to the USA...and look at where it's now. Just like China other 3rd world countries like Nigeria, Brasil, India, South Africa and lots of others are rapidly developing. In 40 years or so they will also be a threat to the west.
