Everyone that served in that war tried to defend our country, but just because you get shot down, you aren't a hero because you got caught. Heroic deeds make a man heroic. The other men there were no less heroic, were they? There were tons of men there long before he got there. He crashed close to a half dozen planes before he was shot down. He was a good man, was. But, not lately. A hero is usually humble about their heroic deeds aren't they?
