that's not true. they will not stress to death by staring at each other. they will want to fight each other, but after a while they understand that they can't get to each other so they stop. in fact, every once in a while they will go at it again, but rarely. so when that happens, it may be good for them to have some social interactions and stimulation. get a bigger bowl, yes i agree. i had about 7male bettas in a 55gallon tank.after a day of fighting, they learned to live together.

They seem happy. if u want them to be happier and live longer(bigger tank longer life span) get EACH of them at least a 2.5 gallon or bigger. if you have 2 staring right next to each other they'll stress to death.

Stop crying people about the tank and size its good

actually them being next to each other is good exercise and promotes gill flaring although they shouldn't be next to each other for long periods of time it will stress them out.

i have 2 bettas...1 in a 10 gal. tank the other in a 5 gal. tank. Both tanks are heavily planted, as they should be. Bettas in cups is not healthy for the fish...they need room. I give mine a diet of flightless fruit flies and blood worms. I also put almond tree leaves in the tanks, it's great for their immune system and makes for healthier fish.

the proper care for a happy healthy betta is to give them bigger tanks with room to swim. :(How would you like it if you were in a small cup???????
