Should you want to see how things change when you switch to hardest (Delta) difficulty, check this video comparison: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3IqJT... While I was playing Crysis: Warhead, I was slowly getting a feeling that there is something wrong with the game. First of all it's terribly easy. Got it completed on Realistic in a couple of hours without getting stuck for a single moment. I slowly started to realize what's going on when I noticed that I'm getting ALMOST killed way too often. After each encounter with larger group of Koreans which made me go like: "Phew, that was a close one!", my suspicion grew stronger and stronger. Is the game really forcing your enemies to have mercy on you and stop shooting just before they got you killed? By the time I was getting quiet sure it is, but I kinda refused to admit it. What's the point of making a FPS where your "opponents" aren't allowed to shoot you dead? It would be terribly easy and by removing the possibility of failure, it wouldn't in fact be a game any more. It's not a game when there is no eventuality of losing. But after seeing Crysis on the web every now and then, having some arguments about it on various forums, I decied I have to know the truth. So I just launched FRAPS, starting capturing the video, loaded a random save and finally went: "OMG, I was right.". Didn't have time to test it really thoroughly, but I am now absolutely confident that regular enemies (the elite nano-suit koreans, BIG aliens and other similar scum CAN kill you) cannot get you killed unless you: 1) Stand on their grenade. Literally. Get a little distance and you're OK, even when still under fire. 2) Don't get close enough to meelee. This will probably never happen in real gameplay as I have actually never seen anyone using the max. strenght + meelee attack combo. Why would you run to an armed guy to punch him in the face when you can simply shoot him from the distance? 3) Don't stand uncloaked directly in front of mounted machine gun's barrel for extended periods. 4) Don't let them shoot you for too long when using other mode then Max. Armor. The game still gives you few chances to switch your mode exactly the same way it is shown in this vid, but after some time it probably decides this is just too rude and allows the bad guys to kill you. Oh and one last thing - didn't have time to test this on the hardest (Delta) difficulty, maybe things get a little different, but I suppose some kind of God Mode still works there so the console people can play it too.

The same codes "ai_RODLowHealthMercyTime = 1" and "g_playerLowHealthThreshold = 0" exist in normal Crysis config too , but turning them to "0" you disable such feature which makes enemies to kill you again.
this is bullshitty as fuck though i agree, crytek took the "far cry is frustrating" criticism way out of proportion when they designed the difficulty of this game. both crysis and warhead where way to easy even on the hardest settings. (although crysis 1 didnt have this problem afaik. i should check.)
Maybe it's just me getting old and bitchy (kinda sooner then I expected, heh), but that's exactly what I hate about modern games. I loved those all times when games had no mercy on you. Always frustrating at some point, but those were the moments that made me keep a stiff upper lip and keep trying until I eventually managed to beat the damned thing... and enjoy the well deserved feeling of victory...
... Sadly for me things work different nowadays. It's no longer you who has to improve your skill to make it to victorious end. The games actually started adjusting to player being lame. I don't think that's what any 'game' should be doing, no matter how 'accessibility' seems like a fine idea. It's like making a homing ball that's guaranteed to hit a baseball bat each and every time so that everyone can have a 'fair share' of fun not constantly spoiled by that evil pitcher...

anyway,i never knew that.I actually die in that game >_> sucks to be me i guess...
ai_RODLowHealthMercyTime = 1
g_playerLowHealthThreshold = 1
Into :
ai_RODLowHealthMercyTime = 0
g_playerLowHealthThreshold = 0
They will not spare you then.
You can make them speak korean in any difficulty by changing line "ai_UseAlternativeReadability = 1" into "ai_UseAlternativeReadability = 0" too.
